Chania is very famous for its marvellous sandy beaches (the best of the four prefectures of Crete) and the beach bars that are built next to the sea. The beach bars are built in the most central beaches of the most recognisable waterfront villages of Chania prefecture. The visitors can have coffee, food and drinks while playing with the sea and the pools. Also, most of the hotels that reach the sea provide beach bars and pool bars to their guests.
Ilios and Ammos (Agia Marina)
It is the hottest of the beach bars of Chania with locals and a few tourists until the first late hours (21:00). Loud music with greek and foreign hits creates a fantastic atmosphere. Every day hundreds of locals play beach-tennis and swim in the clear waters of Agia Marina, in front of the islet of Agioi Theodoroi.
Kosta Kosta (Agia Marina)
It is a quiet beach bar and restaurant with a few sofas lying on the beach. It offers nice music, a tropical atmosphere and pool only a few meters from the beach. It is suggested for small families and couples. Next to Kosta Kosta it is built the famous club De-Stihl.
Okeanos (Agia Marina)
Okeanos is a beach bar lying on the endless sandy beach of Agia Marina. There is a lovely courtyard with pool in front of the beach.
Iguana (Agioi Apostoloi, Golden Beach)
Iguana is the beach bar that first opened in Chania. It is built in one of the sandy beaches of Agioi Apostoloi a few km from the town centre. Sport facilities (volleyball field, beach tennis field) are provided here.
NeroMylos (Platanias)
NeroMylos is strictly open on summer, from the first days of June to the start of September. It is open from morning (as a beach bar with pool, and lovely sun loungers) until night, serving all light cuisine. Famous DJs play atmospheric and dance beats creating fantastic atmosphere. During the night the club Mylos (next to the beach bar) plays great beat music and hosts hundreds of people.
Mambo (Stalos)
The renovated beach bar Mambo is located in the lovely sandy beach of Stalos with a few dishes, lounge music and many visitors. During the night it converts into bar.
