Loutraki is a small natural bay, 12 km northeast of Chania, a quiet village with a lovely, sandy beach as well as a grassy landscape next to the beach. A cafeteria, beach bar and fish restaurant are offered.
In the lovely beach of Loutraki there are provided sun loungers for sunbathing and umbrellas. Sometimes during the weekends the sandy beach may be crowded by the locals from Chania, but even like that it is an excellent place.
Loutraki is only 15 minutes far from the international airport of Chania and 25 minutes from the port of Souda. It is an ideal place if you want to do unwind and relaxing holidays.
A few more lovely sandy beaches can be found in a short driving distance. Kalathas (4 km west), Tersanas (5 km north west), Stavros (6 km north west) and the nearby Marathi (2 km north) offer beaches with soft sand and clear waters. In Marathi our guests should try the water-edge positioned Loukoulos restaurant, serving very good fish, meat and salads.
While staying in the Loutraki village you should also visit some of the great Monasteries and churches of the Akrotiri Peninsula, "The Holly Mountain of Crete". The most important are the Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) Monastery, the Gouverneto (Lady of the Angels) and the Katholiko (Agios Ioannis the Hermit).
