September 7, 2009 We had a very nice surprise from Galini hotel.
We have reserved and payed a sea-view studio, but from some unknown reason we were forwarded to the 5* Galini Deluxe, which is beautiful.
Although we specifically was looking for a hotel directly on the beach, we we absolutely compensated with the change for the "longer" distance.
(The hotel personnel has answered with a constant smile when I asked the reason :)
So I could not give exact feedback about Galini Beach and Eden hotel, because I saw only the reception, when they have explained the route to the Deluxe.
Alltogether we came home enchanted, full of good memories, and with a bit sorrow in heart for leaving that place.
The hotel is top-class, huge, beautful, with spacy room, and balcony, with amazing view.
Personnel is kind and helpful.
(There is only 1 small comment on cleaning the bathroom, e.g. the hydromassage showerstall should be cleaned regularly with scale-remover and with more care, and the drain should be checked regularly.
But beside this the hotel is still just great.)
Looks like being on quite high on the hill, high above the sea-level mainstreet (causing a bit afraid in advance from 'climbing/walking' the hill hardly when you are drunk :), but they even have an elevator, which takes you directly almost to/from the main street-level, saving you from the exercising).
If you rent a car (with small engine, just like I did), be careful to follow the 'longer' route to the hotel (cca400m), instead the shorter route(100m) from the main-street, because that is just too sceepen.

June 12, 2009 Great location, right on the beach and walking distance to many shops and restos. About 10 minutes by car or scooter from Chania center. Ask for sea view.

April 26, 2009 We just arrived home from a very nice holiday in Crete. As you know we were very disappointed when we saw that Galini Beach & Eden Hotel was not open when we arrived the 26th of April.
Galini Sea View was a very nice alternative of course but we don't understand why you don't informed us timely by e-mail and discuss with us what would be a good alternative.
A 5 star hotel is very nice but we prefer a more family style apartment close to the beach.
So, maybe a good advice for future bookings.
Nevertheless, we had a good time in Galini de luxe, our children where very happy with the swimmingpool and the luxurous bathroom!
Best regards from the Netherlands,
Hedwig Meen - April 2009

September 13, 2008 We understood that the rate was reasonable. Loved the beach but you should inform your guests about where to sit so that they don't get charged (like we did) for using an umbrella and lounger. There was an awful smell in our washroom from the drain that would not go away. The breakfast was bad, ery greasey and no fresh fruit. But the coffee was excellent...
Your hotel staff was very pleasant and we loved your hotel. A few updates would make us recommend your place to all our friends. - September 2008

June 22, 2008 That is a very nice memory in Galini hotel, Crete. But, the drainage in the rest rooms was worst, the smells and fluids. It needs repair in drainage system in the hotel. - June 2008

April 26, 2008 Galini Hotel was closed when we got there. We were disappointed because we didn´t got any message about that, and we came to Crete late in the evening. But after all we got accomodation at Galini de Luxe Hotel nearby. We enjoyed our staying there very much. The hotel was fine and clean, and for breakfast there was a very wide selection to choose. But this hotel would have been too expensive for us.
We think that Galini Hotel would have been more "greek style" hotel. Galini de Luxe Hotel was like hotels in Finland, international style. Anyway, it was nice to find there a Harvia Sauna! I work in Muurame where Harvia Saunas come from. So little is the world!
We enjoyed our staying in Crete and we hope to get there again some time! - April/May 2008
