June 27 2011 We have stayed at Vasilis Villas three times in the past four years! The owners Vasili and Maria are exceptional hosts and always take great pride and joy in making their guests feel very comfortable. The quiet peaceful atmosphere is ideal with glorious sunsets, midnight dips in the pool and local taverns that provide extraordinary Cretan dining. The entire village always welcomes us and the crystal clear swimming waters of Falasarna beaches make it paradise. We love the rural setting and love feeling so welcome by the gracious and generous Greeks. A perfect paradise where you can fetch natural spring water in the morning, follow by fresh breads and Dakos at the local bakery and don't forget the world's best tomatoes. We gave brought many friends here who are internationally traveled, and everyone agrees it's optimum hospitality, cuisine, relaxation and peaceful....bravo bravo to Vasili and Maria we thank you again for a fantastic vacation! |

June 22 2009 We have visited the Vasilli Villas two years in a row. Not only is the view breathtaking, but the Villa itself is perfectly kept, with every ammenity you could possibly think of to enjoy cooking, relaxing and enjoying a very relaxed vacation. The owners, Bill and Maria are exceptional hosts. They are so warm and gracious, and Maria keeps the Villas beyond clean. They have become lovely friends, and take great pride in their lovely, peaceful village. The people in the village are as well very very hospitable and friendly. We found ourselves being a part of their summer celebrations and festivals. Though it\'s a bit off the beaten path, it is one of my favorite spots on earth. We so enjoy getting fresh fish and veggies from the local markets and loved cooking ourselves and enjoying the spectacular scenery that surrounds the villas. At first I didn\'t think we would have much need for the private pool because we spend so much time at the beach, but it is a luxury to hang around the pool pre and post beach during the hot day. IT is very easy to get to Chania for a day of shopping. and we often drive down to Elofinisi beach from the Villas, so find the location perfect for outside trips. The beaches nearby are beyond beautiful. The water crisp and clear, and you can see forever. June is a great month, few tourists, and lots and lots of pristine sand beaches. An award winning gem this place is, I highly recommend it! |

June 23 2008 Vasilli Villa was spectacular to say the least. The Villa itself is an architectural work of art. They have thought of everything down to the treasure chest full of local wines which we enjoyed immensley. We cooked at the Villa daily, collecting fresh fishes and produce from the local markets. Watching the sunset from the deck was worth the whole trip. BUT, what was especially special were Bill and his wife who entertained us at his brother\'s restaurant. What fantastic people who were generous, meticulous about the Villas\' upkeep and introduced us to local color. The beaches were beyond description as well. We\'re planning to go back next year!
