Dear guests, we wish that you and your families are in very good health and safe.
We are deeply sorry about the pandemic of coronavirus, and we wish that it is under control worldwide. The situation now seems more positive since vaccinations have noted great progress in Greece with almost 70% of the population being fully vaccinated as well as all over the world.
Greece managed to overcome all the waves of Covid-19 during the spring with great success, since precautionary measures were taken early enough each time. Especially Crete had very few cases of the virus during the past two years. Greece and even more Crete has been a safe destination to travel and we have also successfully taken all the necessary measures to overcome the last mutation of Omicron. We were glad to host many guests during the summer season with safety and care and we would love to welcome you again in 2022.
Current Health Measures
Greece as most other countries has been facing the mutation Omicron for the last few months, which had a rapid spread but low mortality and has taken measures to ensure the immediate decrease of cases.
There has been no lockdown since March 2021 and everything is open but the use of the mask is mandatory everywhere in all movements, in indoor spaces in Greece. However, wearing masks outdoors is no longer mandatory as of Saturday 5th of March 2022.
Additionally, citizens should now show their vaccination certificate or if they are not vaccinated their certificate of rapid test up to 48 hours or PCR test up to 72 hours or their certificate of recovery in order to enter any indoor area except for supermarkets, mini markets and pharmacy stores.
Arrival of guests in Greece
In order for guests to arrive in Greece, it is mandatory now for all passengers of a flight, to complete a PLF (Passenger Location Form) at least 24 hours before entering Greece, providing detailed information on their point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries, and the address of your stay while in Greece.
Please note that PLF can be completed online through https://travel.gov.gr
Please be careful and note that you need to complete a PLF for every child of your family, as some airline companies are very strict and do not allow guests to fly if they have no PLF document for their children!
From 15 March 2022 onwards, travellers visiting Greece are no longer required to fill out the Passenger Locator Form (PLF). However, a simplified PLF remains in operation, the completion of which is optional, for the sole purpose of enabling the traveller / family to issue an EU Certificate of negative or positive COVID-19 test result.
Furthermore, travellers coming from EU member states and Schengen countries, as well as from the 33 non-EU countries that have joined the EU Digital Covid Certificate system, must hold a European Union Digital COVID Certificate.
Travellers coming from Australia, Canada and the United States of America(including children over the age of 5) must display their vaccination certificate or proof or recovery from Covid-19 or a negative molecular test result (PCR) for COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before their entry to Greece or a negative Rapid Antigen test result for Covid-19 performed up to 24 hours before the scheduled arrival.
Travellers from ALL other countries must show either a negative PCR test performed up to 72 hours prior to arrival or a negative (rapid) antigen test performed up to 24 hours prior to arrival, issued by a certified diagnostic center in the English language.
