Vieille ville
La vieille ville de La Canée est considérée comme l une des plus belles de Grèce et c est la partie la plus admirable de toute la ville. La vieille ville comprend le vieux port vénitien et les petits quartiers placés derrière lui. Elle est caractérisée par ses nombreuses ruines de batiments vénitiens et turcs et par ses ruelles étroites et pittoresques semblables à un labyrinthe enchantant.
La plupart des batiments ont été rénovés et compose un puzzle d architecture contemporaine et vénitienne, exhibant de nombreux aspects de son histoire.
De nos jours, les batiments vénitiens er turcs sont devenus des batiments d Etat, des hotels, des restaurants, des bars et des musées.
