We had a wonderful 12-day stay at Iakintha Villa and would happily recommend it to others looking for a peaceful base in Crete. The communication from the hosts was excellent throughout — always friendly, responsive, and helpful — and we really appreciated the owners’ generosity during our stay, especially the delicious homemade pastries they brought us.
The villa itself is very spacious, both indoors and outdoors, and the large pool area was a real highlight. There were plenty of loungers and chairs, making it easy to relax and enjoy the privacy and quiet surroundings.
One thing future guests should know is that a car is definitely essential. The villa’s remote location is part of its charm and offers great privacy, but you’ll need a vehicle to comfortably explore the island, beaches, restaurants, and nearby towns.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday and are grateful to the hosts for their warm hospitality.

Beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! A car is essential in this area, but with one, there is so much to explore in a short driving distance. The walk to the swimmable part of the beach was longer than expected, but there may have been another route we just didn't know about. Overall our visit was exceptional and I would recommend to anyone. The home itself has so many gorgeous nooks to relax in, views of both mountains and sea, refreshing pool. We did not want to leave!

Vi var 7 personer afsted og nød vores ferie i huset. Et dejligt ophold med et dejligt poolområde. Det var let at finde og lå tæt på en dejlig badestrand. Vi blev taget godt i mod, selvom vi kom sent om aftenen og værten var meget opmærksom på at vi havde det godt i huset

We had the perfect holiday! The villa was gorgeous (even better than the photos) and in a beautiful scenic location which is so peaceful but equally within walking distance of some great food/drink places and beaches. It was ae equipped with everything we could need and more. The hosts were so wonderful, instantly responsive to any messages, and the owners even brought lovely home-baked treats every couple of days. We could not fault this stay and are already planning when we can come back again!

We loved our stay, the villa felt so homely, well equipped and very clean. The pool area is fantastic and throughout the property there are amazing views and different spots to sit and relax. The owners are so kind, knowing it was their family home made it all the more special. Stavros is away from the hustle and bustle of Chania but has a few good restaurants, nice beaches and beautiful sunsets - if it’s peace and relaxation you’re after the villa and area are perfect.

Beautiful villa, lovely garden and pool. Great open plan living area. Amazing balconies and seating areas with lovely views. It’s very private, there’s a ground floor flat but empty when rented. Very responsive owners before and during stay. The welcome pack was a lovely touch - wine, bread, home made pastries, fruit, butter etc. Great BBQ at the back of house. Recommend Blue Beach that’s just over 5 min walk. Definitely climb up to the cave for amazing views (although quite challenging), also the local Monastery walks and of course Chania. I was a bit worried about airplane noise but it’s minimal and a very easy transfer. Didn’t want to leave and would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Villa Iakinthi! It’s really spacious and looks exactly like the photos. The grounds are very well cared for and we were treated to local delicacies by the hosts every few days which were lovely! Emmanuel, Yannis, Alex and Maria were always on hand to give advice. Thoroughly recommended!

Ein wirklich tolles Haus mit sehr schöner Aussicht auf Meer und Berge. Ein wenig außerhalb, vieles ist mit dem Auto jedoch in erreichbarer Nähe. Klare Empfehlung für jeden der einen tollen Urlaub in Griechenland erleben möchte.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 days at beautiful Iakinthi Villa! It’s so lovely and spacious inside and the pool area is stunning! It’s very private and peaceful, but with plenty of gorgeous beaches, tavernas and shops nearby. We would recommend hiring a car to get around. Yannis, Emmanuel, Alex and Maria were all fantastic hosts - really friendly, quick to respond to any queries and they sent extremely helpful recommendations for places to visit / restaurants etc. They also brought over some delicious freshly cooked pastries a few times during our stay and generally made us feel very welcome. Old Chania Town and Holy Trinity Monastery are definitely worth a visit and hiring a pedalo at Lake Kournas to spot the turtles was one of our favourite days out. We all absolutely loved our stay and didn’t want to come home!

We had an incredible week long stay at this beautiful home in Stavros. The owners and caretakers were so helpful and accommodating, sending excellent recommendations for local beaches & restaurants, and even dropping off freshly baked goodies twice during our stay! We were an extended family of 5 (22 month old, mom & dad and grandparents) and the owners were so sweet in setting up the home and dropping off special toys (a ride on car) for our son. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing stay.

Iakinthi villa is the most amazing place! spacious inside and set in the most beautiful garden with a beautiful pool! The owners were so welcoming, bringing us delicious cheese pastries on two occasions. Alex and Christina were so very friendly and gave us lots of information about the area and places to visit. Emmanuel and Yannis sent lots of helpful information prior to our arrival too. Christina baked us the best cheese buns ever! They were all there to welcome us and show us around. They were the nicest people! We will definitely go back again. Thank you to all!

Beautiful villa and breathtaking garden, pool is a big plus! The villa was very nice and spacious and in a perfect location. In a nicer quieter part of the neighbourhood with lots of nice restaurants close by. Only a 20 min drive to Chania.. a few beautiful beaches close by with in 10 min drive. The place was perfect in nature, it was beautiful to wake up each morning to the sound of the birds and see the sun rise behind the mountains. The manager was extremely helpful and kind with his time and help for check-in and during our stay. The owners shared a lot of delicious goodies throughout our stay, it was a super pleasant surprise. Highly recommend !

"We loved the villa. Perfect for 6 adults and a two year old. Excellent outside spaces and plenty of seating. Shade and sun. Large table on the balcony was perfect for lunch and a barbecue too. Good quality bedding and comfortable beds. Very flexible check in and check out for all our different flight timings. The pool was delightful and we liked all the different beaches around Stavros. Would definitely recommend."

Emmanuel & Yannis came a few times to water the beautiful garden and always surprised us with freshly made cheese pastries and bowls of figs that they grow in the garden.
