Озеро Курнас
Озеро Курнас это единственное озеро на Крите с пресной водой. Оно расположено в 45 км на запад от Ханьи и в 15 км на восток от Ретимно, в нескольких км от национальной дороги. Озеро имеет общую площадь около 160 000 кв.м и глубину до 25 м. Густая растительность окружает живописное озеро, а юго-восточная часть местности усажена оливковыми деревьями. Полоса белого песка около озера дает возможность плавать в озере и загорать; также здесь находятся кафе и несколько таверн.
Озеро Курнас также подходит для каноэ и водных велосипедов. На дороге над озером находятся другие кафе и таверны с захватывающими дух видами.
Озеро Курнас находится на небольшом расстоянии (около 3 км) от Георгиуполис и префектуры Ханьи.
