This was already our second stay at Villa Athina, and once again we had an unforgettable experience. The location and the views are absolutely breathtaking, and the house and pool are truly beautiful—without a doubt one of the most stunning places one could imagine staying.

Everything is exceptionally well maintained, and even after a full week, there isn’t enough time to enjoy all the wonderful seating areas and outdoor spaces the property has to offer.

Communication with the hosts was excellent and effortless throughout our stay. They were always available, provided plenty of helpful recommendations for restaurants, activities, and excursions, and made us feel very welcome.

We honestly didn’t want to leave and are already hoping to return again soon. We can highly recommend Villa Athina to anyone looking for a truly special and memorable stay.

Très belle villa, spacieuse, avec une vue magnifique. Literie confortable, très bien équipée. Cuisine d’été avec bbq et four à pizza. Très calme. Kids friendly avec chaise haute et lit bébé. Hôte très réactif, accueil tres sympathique. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le ménage de mi séjour. Nous avons passé une superbe séjour dans cette villa, merci !

Tout était parfait. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la villa Athina. La maison est spacieuse, bien agencée, bien équipée avec une vue imprenable et un environnement calme. Nous avons également apprécié grandement le service de nettoyage. Nous nous sommes toujours sentis bien encadrés par Emanuel et Yannis qui ont toujours rapidement répondu à nos messages. Mille mercis pour tout! Nous recommandons chaudement un séjour à la Villa Athina! Christine & Matthias

We can only agree with the previous reviews: a dream location, numerous options for retreating to various terraces or areas with comfortable seating or enjoying meals in any weather, sufficient cold and hot water, a clean pool, a beautiful living room that we (unfortunately) didn't use because the weather was simply too good and we preferred to be outside; on the first floor with a fantastic view, there's a larger master bedroom with a larger bathroom and a smaller bedroom with a shower room, and on the ground floor, a smaller bedroom with a bathroom across the hallway. And above all, a kitchen with good light and lighting, truly sufficient dishes, and everything you need to prepare meals. All rooms are furnished with beautiful folk furniture. We were also provided with plenty of information before our departure, and the directions were perfect. Yes, it's a long and winding road, and when you first approach it, you think you've taken the wrong turn, especially at night; but we quickly learned to appreciate the wonderful views this route offers. We've had many vacation homes over the past 50 years, and some very special ones in recent years, but Villa Athina was our highlight. Stathis warmly welcomed us upon our late arrival and showed us around the house. Georgia provided an extra parasol at our request. The housekeeping service made our relaxation much easier, and the pool manager also came regularly. We would especially like to mention the friendly and polite owners and staff of TheGreekHotel, Emmanuel, Yannis, and Maria, who helped us quickly and easily with any problems (not caused by the villa) and were there to ease some of our worries. That's not something to be taken for granted. We would book with TheGreekHotel again at any time and would gladly return to Villa Athina.

Die Villa ist ganz wunderbarer Ort mit spektakulärer Aussicht. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Und den Pool haben wir sowieso genossen. Nicht vom schmalen, teils steilen Weg hinauf zum Haus verunsichern lassen, es gibt so gut wie keinen Gegenverkehr.

Un sans faute ! Maison avec une vue incroyable dans un environnement très calme mais non isolé. La petite route parmi les oliviers nous mène au paradis. La maison est très bien équipée, propre. On ne se lasse pas de regarder le soleil levant ou couchant. La communication établie par whatapps est facile et permet une interaction permanente avec des recommandations de visites ou de restaurants. Bref un sans faute ! Foncez ! Vous ne serez pas déçus !

We (gezin met 3 kinderen, 17, 15 en 10 jaar) hebben 12 dagen in Villa Athina mogen verblijven en hebben elke dag genoten! Het uitzicht, het zwembad, de privacy, alle voorzieningen. Alles was ruimschoots aanwezig. 2 keer werd het huis schoongemaakt en het zwembad werd netjes bijgehouden. De communicatie met de eigenaar en de beheerders was top! Vanuit het huis hebben we vele uitstapjes kunnen maken met de auto. We raden dit huis zeer aan! We missen het nu al!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Athina, such a wonderful place. The views are stunning from sunrise to sunset and it’s so beautifully peaceful. There’s lots of seating areas, for sun and shade, and evening dinners on the terrace was a real highlight. The hatch from the kitchen window is such a bonus, we had fun passing food out for the table and shouting ‘service’ 🛎️ Yannis and Emmanuel are wonderful hosts right from the time we booked, very attentive, providing lots of useful information and helping with our late evening arrival transfer from Heraklion. In addition, the maintenance managers were super helpful and friendly, on hand during our stay, ensuring we had everything needed. We walked down to a fabulous local taverna called Leventis, food was delicious, but generally a car is needed to get about to amazing beaches, the old town is very pretty and we hired a boat for 5 hours, €150, a great way to explore. One of the best family holidays ever, thank you.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. From the warm greeting on arrival that showed. His love for the property and hosting. To the spectacular hilltop Villa overlooking the sea that the pictures just can't do justice to. Thank you for making our Crete family vacation amazing.

Die villa gleicht einem Paradies. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Emmanuel & Yannis kann man nicht besser gestalten. Zweimal in der Woche kam der Poolreiniger und in der Mitte der Woche wurde gereinigt, die Betten frisch bezogen und die Handtücher getauscht. Wir waren definitiv nicht das letzte mal hier.

Wat een heerlijk verblijf hadden we hier! Veel rust, mooi, schoon huis en prachtige omgeving. We hadden helaas wat slecht weer, maar kregen daarom allerlei tips doorgestuurd wat we konden ondernemen in de omgeving. Binnen genoeg ruimte om spelletjes te spelen of even lekker op de bank een boek te lezen. We hebben enorm genoten en vonden het erg jammer dat we weggingen. Gaan zeker nog eens terug!

Everything about the whole team at this villa was just outstanding. From the moment we booked it, Emmanuel & Yannis were unbelievable hosts. The amount of information they sent was outstanding. Just before we left for Crete they set up a group chat, with everyone’s numbers who was involved in the villa. The whole team of people that manage this property was so helpful, friendly and responsive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They checked every few days to see if everything was fine. As for the villa, it’s a beautiful villa in a beautiful part of Crete. It was so quiet there and the views are beautiful. The pool and outside area are lovely, with full BBQ facilities. The inside of the villa was very spacious and everything was spotlessly clean. The property while we was there for 2 weeks was cleaned 3 times with all bed sheets and towels changed. Pool was also cleaned. I’ve never been to an Airbnb that has had such high standards. Would highly recommend this villa. Thanks to all!!
