The pool provides a stunning view of the mountains, all while being in a fantastic location—just a 15-minute drive to Chania Old Town and centrally located between several beaches. There's also a local tavern just down the road. The owner, was excellent at meeting all our needs while respecting our privacy, making the villa feel like it's all yours. We would definitely stay again!"

  • "Our stay at Villa Leon was 5 days of pure relaxation and peace in the most beautiful of settings. From the start, both hosts were wonderful, greeting us on arrival and showing us around the property. The residence was pristine clean including bedding, bathroom and kitchen. The host treated our group to some lovely Cretan treats and meals during our stay along with many local beach, restaurant and cafe recommendations, which really made us feel at home in Crete. Appliances such as dishwasher, washing machine, LCD TV and air conditioning throughout made our stay very pleasant. We couldn’t recommend Villa Leon more if you are staying in Chania town, which is only a 10 minute drive away."

  • "This place is absolutely gorgeous! Immaculately clean, loads of space, ample parking, and only a €15 taxi into Chania if you fancy a few drinks on the evening! The pool is also gorgeous and it was only used by us our entire trip! The owner, his wife and daughter are SO welcoming and showed us how to use everything in the villa. They left us bread, ham, cheese, fruit, orange juice and water to help get us in which was so nice. And then gave us the most amazing tasting Cretan treats pretty much every day thereafter!"

We were made to feel part of the family which was very special to us. The villa itself is first class, spotlessly clean with a great swimming pool which we used daily. We received good recommendations on beaches to visit, local gorges to see and local food options. Yannis was my contact and he communicated regularly and was very helpful in resolving a car rental return for me which I greatly appreciated. Would return to stay here in a heartbeat and would 110% recommend this property to all."

Villa Leon was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Perched up the hill over looking Souda Bay the villa was very spacious inside and out with a lovely pool. Mike the owner was very friendly and on hand for anything you needed - cooked us a lovely dish and equipped the villa with arrival goodies! Mike really was a host with most but, not intrusive in any way, leaving you to enjoy your stay as you desire! Small taverna 10 min walk and mini market 15 mins. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Supertrevliga värdar! Hörde av sig flera gånger och frågade om allt var okej, om vi behövde något etc. Mike bjöd på riktigt god mat sista dagen vilket jag och resten av sällskapet uppskattade enormt mycket! Har absolut ingenting negativt att säga om vare sig huset, värdarna, miljön eller något alls. Rekommenderar detta hus starkt, och vi kommer definitivt tillbaka!

We had a fantastic holiday. Really enjoyed lots of adventures in the local area. There are amazing gorges, lake and beaches in easy reach by car. Also plenty to explore on foot to the port, coast and mountains behind. It’s the real Crete - not all of it is picture perfect but the area has great character and charm. Everyone we met was very friendly. Mike the owner is a wonderful host - he showed us true Cretan hospitality! Thank you.

We had a warm welcome from owner Mike, who showed us around & ensured we got settled. We spoke through Google translate & were appreciative to find some essentials left for us, so that we had some food & drink to see us through to our first shop. The villa is great. The view is beautiful. It was clean & had enough storage for our clothes. We had towels for the pool and a light clean during our stay. Mike gifted us lots of treats to enjoy and did not encroach on our privacy, but we called him for a chat, to learn about the local area. He invited us to the local village festival, which was a good experience. Location was peaceful & great for relaxing, but you definitely need a car, as there isn’t anything within walking distance, apart from the local taverna which we didn’t visit. Chania harbour is beautiful, especially at night. We also really liked Platanias. We had a list of recommendations from Emmanuel & Yannis, which was handy. Mike made our stay with his kindness & generosity.

Yannis og Emmanuel var hjælpsom ligesom ejeren af huset Mr. Michalis. Vi fik hjemmelavet mad af Mr. M hustru. De var så søde og hjælpsomme. Dejligt med egen pool, midt i naturen, hvor vi kunne høre gederne i bjergene. Yannis og Emmanuel link var til stor hjælp og vi var på flere af deres anbefalet restauranter. Området og boligen er meget autentisk.

Absolut empfehlenswert!😍 Michalis und seine Frau sind herausragende Gastgeber, die uns mit Herzlichkeit und der typisch kretischen Gastfreundlichkeit empfangen haben. Das Grundstück ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Zahlreiche Bäume und Pflanzen umranden die große Terrasse mit Blick auf den Hafen von Souda. Der Pool wird regelmäßig gereinigt und bietet eine wundervolle Abkühlung. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig und man ist in wenigen Auto-Minuten in der schönen Stadt Chania. Der Innenbereich ist ebenso sehr gepflegt. Stilvoll ausgewählte Vintage Möbelstücke, eine moderne Küche mit Servierküche nebenan, 2 Duschbäder und 2 WCs sowie zwei Schlafzimmer mit Platz für 4 Personen machen die Villa zu einem schönen Ort für den Kreta-Urlaub. Michalis und seine Frau brachten kretische Spezialitäten sowie kleine Aufmerksamkeiten vorbei. Sie haben dabei jegliche Privatsphäre der Gäste beachtet. Die Verständigung klappte super per Übersetzungs-App. Wir haben sehr schöne Gespräche geführt. Einfach perfekt!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home in Crete! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect — peaceful, yet close enough to everything we wanted to explore. What truly made our experience special was the host Mikhalis was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful throughout our trip. On site host Michalis was very helpful, proactive and friendly to all issues but not invasive and a great asset to this property. I was pleased to take up his offer of a trek in the surrounding hills and he was a great guide pointing out rare trees and herbs as well as spectacular views over the north side of the island. Once he realised my wife was vegetarian, he amended the offer to cook a traditional lamb dish and produced a vegetarian dish specially which was very thoughtful. The villa is well appointed with good views over the Port and good connection to all parts of the West of the island. Recommended.

The property is well located only 15 mins from Chania by car. The pictures by the pool are an accurate portrayal of blissfully sitting out with that view. The area is quiet for relaxing, with birdsong and lamb bells for background noise as you relax. The host of the property is what really makes this place special. They check in on you throughout the stay and provide anything you need. And Mr. Michalis upstairs comes down with home made Cretan dishes for you to try- which are all delicious. It’s the perfect property for relaxing in the sun by the pool, combined with days out around the island.

We had a wonderful time at Michalis’ Airbnb. It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and they prepared a delightful surprise for him. The place was very clean and spacious, located in a quiet area. The host family was incredibly kind and accommodating, even preparing a traditional Cretan breakfast for us. The outdoor area was beautiful, featuring a great pool and plenty of space for grilling and relaxing. The city is very close, only a 12-minute drive. Thank you again for the lovely stay!

We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at this stellar location for nearly two weeks. This villa is perfectly located to for exploring the west end of Crete as well as Chania. The Villa is beautifully maintained both inside and outside. We enjoyed our down days lounging around the pool amongst the pomegranate and lime trees as much as the days we traveled around Crete. The owners who live upstairs were most helpful and quickly addressed any issues without intruding on our privacy. We were treated to some amazing homemade treats multiple times throughout our stay. I also took our host up on an excursion to a small local beach for a swim and snorkeling as well as a hike up the mountain right behind the Villa. Both adventures will be remembered for a long time.
