Episkopi
Petres is a small hamlet with a taverna, a sandy beach in a cove, and a few small hotels and apartments, located 14 km west of Rethymnon. Episkopi is a rather small, traditional village with its centre located 1 km west of Petres. A small centre with a few traditional tavernas and mini markets is provided.
In the waterfront of Episkopi (500 m from Petres) a wonderful, long sandy beach stretching until Georgioupolis is offered.
The beach is very well organised with umbrellas, sun loungers, showers, restaurants, and beach bars. Our guests can enjoy the clean sea, the hot sun, the blue sky, as well as try a few water sports (e.g. windsurfing). Car hire is also recommended to be able to explore the rest of the magnifiscent island of Crete.
Next to Petres and Episkopi there are the villages of Kavros and Georgioupolis which are very well organised with much more nightlife, and offering more touristic facilities to all the visitors. In the center of the Georgioupolis village there are shops, mini markets, pharmacies, tavernas, restaurants and bars.
