"The property is spectacular and had all the amenities we expected, plus more. The pool was welcomed on the hot days, and they were very prompt with coming out when the filter stopped running. Archanes is an amazing town, with street parking all very close and Bakaliko is recommended for a wine tasting and dinner. I would stay here again in a second, and hope to return on our next trip to Crete. Highly recommend."

Archanes has great character, it feels very authentic but still with local restaurants and supermarkets accessible and catering for non Greek speakers. You do need a car as rural setting and be prepared for narrow streets and local traffic."

"The house has character within it's stone walls. You can tell from the decoration and furnishing that it was inhabited for a long time by Cretans. It works as well as a holiday house. The kitchen is stocked very well, you will find everything you need. The pool is very refreshing and the garden really quiet. The house provides a lot of space for a family of 4 or more. The location is perfect on one of the main streets in the village (next to a great bakery). "

We really enjoyed our stay at the Classy Villa. The owner very kindly met us and showed us how to reach it, even though we arrived late after our flight was delayed. The kids loved the pool and the accommodation is lovely. The town of Archanes is very nice and there are fantastic bakeries and supermarkets within a short walk. We did struggle with finding parking on the streets and it was sometimes noisy at night, but that's to be expected with it's central location. Emmanuel, Yannis and Maria were very responsive and full of great local recommendations!

The pool is fantastic - bigger than in the photos and we had no issues with the temperature. We really appreciated the electric awning for when we needed shade outside. 3 minute walk to the local square with numerous restaurants - if you're a wine lover then check out Cafe Bakaliko and their very passionate sommelier. Several well stocked supermarkets were within easy walking distance. Thank you Emmanuel and Yannis for the excellent local recommendations especially for Lygaria beach which was perfect when the weather was windy. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Classy Villa, hosted by Emmanuel and Yannis is a beautiful house. The ground floor bedrooms and bathroom and beautifully appointed and easy access. The second floor kitchen and sitting area are equally lovely and calm the kitchen spills on to the terrace. The pool ans gardens are lovely and perfect for kids as it’s enclosed and the pool Shallow. A very lovely home perfect for kids as the road is quiet. The village centre has great restaurants at good prices. Well worth the easy stroll.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Archanes, hosts made it very easy and always responsive if needed. Also provided lots of useful local knowledge. Archanes has great character, it feels very authentic but still with local restaurants and supermarkets accessible and catering for non Greek speakers. You do need a car as rural setting and be prepared for narrow streets and local traffic.

We stayed with our family of 5 and it was perfect for what we needed. Cool bedrooms below for the children and we stayed in the room above. Lovely pool area with bbq. Road is slightly noisy in the evenings but this didn’t cause any issues. Great location to restaurants with a bakery next door. Communication with hoists were outstanding. I would highly recommend. We had an amazing holiday.

Absolutely perfect! This house in Archanes is perfect - a beautiful house, very well equipped, perfectly positioned two minutes walk from the central square in Archanes, which in turn - for the archaeologists among us - is itself perfectly located a stone's throw from Knossos. Our hosts promptly replied to any questions we messaged them concerning local services and places to visit with detailed and helpful answers. Also, the check-in was superb - we arrived late (about 1 a.m.), but the housekeeper was there ready to greet us and show us the ropes. We all left happy and rested after a wonderful holiday, and this house was a the centre of it. A 100 % recommendation!
